EGR Valve - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve.
The
EGR valve allows your vehicle to more effectively and completely burn up fuel mixture by recirculating a part of the exhaust and running it over the combustion process once more. The
EGR valve regulates a smaller passageway amongst the intake and exhaust manifolds. Once the valve opens, intake vacuum takes in exhaust via the valve. This leads to a cooler, considerably more complete burn of the gasoline which reduces you car's dangerous emissions by prohibiting the formation of certain harmful gases.

A duff
EGR valve is quite expensive to replace, so many individuals wisely choose to eliminate the valve completely. The
EGR cheater - emulator you will see here has been made for one goal, just to save you cash in case you must use money for something more important.

Next thing to do is to remove your faulty
EGR valve, position a
blanking plate (picture above), and start assembling a quite simple circuit to trick the ECU into thinking that the EGR valve is working as it should.
